Water is Life- the youths from the eco-schools research the Sava River Basin in Slovenia

The youths from the eco-schools delivered a final report of the project “Water is Life- the youths from the eco-schools research the Sava River Basin to the Slovenian Minister for Environment and Spatial Planning and the representative of the Sava Commission. The events was held at the Sava river banks in Tacen (SI) on the 26th of May 2009. In the report the major findings of their research and the suggestion for improvement of environmental quality in the Sava Basin in Slovenia have been presented. The project was running between 7th of April and 25th of May 2009. The youths descended along the Sava River and its tributaries with rafts and canoes and researched river banks and water. They focused mainly to the river fauna and flora, riverbed and among other the influence of the pollution. The report represents the youths view and their attitude to the problem of environmental pollution including water and it will be of the important assistance at planned activities on the Sava River Basin which goes over the Slovenian state borders.
