13th Sava Youth Parliament - “Tourism; let's do it in a sustainable way!”
The 13th Sava Youth Parliament took place 17-18 October 2025 in Gradiška, Bosnia and Herzegovina, under the slogan “Tourism; let's do it in a sustainable way!” This year’s event focused on promoting the Sava River Basin as a sustainable and unique tourist destination. More than 50 students from 9 secondary schools across the Sava countries participated in the Parliament. The students were selected through a competition to create a promotional video demonstrating the Sava River Basin’s potential for sustainable tourism.

- Gimnazija Crnjanski, Belgrade, Serbia
- Palanačka gimnazija, Smederevska Palanka, Serbia
- Secondary vocational and technical school Gradiška, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Parliament served as a platform to raise awareness among young people about the Sava River Basin’s rich natural and cultural heritage and its potential for tourism that supports environmental protection and cultural preservation. Participants engaged in discussions about the economic benefits and environmental challenges of tourism, recognizing the need for a balanced and sustainable development approach. The event emphasized regional cooperation as key to preserving the basin’s resources while enhancing its appeal as a tourist destination. The initiative once again showcased how youth engagement and cross-border collaboration can contribute meaningfully to the future of the Sava River Basin.
