As part of the project "Study on Sediment, Water and Biota in the Sava River Basin," which is implemented by the Consultant’s team led byJaroslav Černi Institute, in cooperation with partners Gruner Stucky and the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković," the field sampling campaign is carried out.
The campaign began in Sevnica (Slovenia) on September 15-16, 2025, and will continue at the following locations:

• Slavonski Brod (Croatia): September 17-18, 2025
• Modriča (Bosnia and Herzegovina): September 29-30, 2025
• Sremska Mitrovica (Serbia): October 1-2, 2025

The campaign aims to:

• Demonstrate standardized practices of sediment, water, , and biota monitoring using the most suitable methods and protocols for the Sava River Basin.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange among experts from Sava riparian countries.
• Harmonize methodological approaches for sampling, processing, and data sharing.

This joint effort will support the development of harmonized river basin and sediment management plans across the Sava River Basin.
The study is being implemented within the framework of the Sava and Drina River Corridors Integrated Development Program (SDIP) - Phase I, with support from the World Bank and the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
