The competition for selection of teams to participate the 14th Sava Youth Parliamnet under the slogan “Rivers Whispers to Us: Do We Understand Them?!” was  focused on the ecological status of waters and the importance of protecting water resources in line with the EU Water Framework Directive (WFD).

The competition, open to secondary school students and young people aged 18-25, attracted nine secondary school teams from all four Sava countries and two teams in the youth category. The participants presented their projects during an online event held on 1 June 2026 as part of the Sava Day celebration.

The Secretariat of the International Sava River Basin Commission will select the best submissions by the end of August 2026. The selected teams will be invited to participate in the 14th Sava Youth Parliament to be held in Sremska Mitrovica (RS) in early October 2026.
