1st User Training within the Hydrological Study
As a part of the project “Hydrological Study for the Sava River Basin” the 1st Project Training - Data management and the use of the integrated geodatabase was organized in Zagreb from July 07-08, 2026.
The project is part of the regional component of the Sava and Drina River Corridors Integrated Development Program (SDIP), Phase I Part 4, supported by the World Bank and the Global Environment Facility and coordinated by the International Sava River Basin Commission. Main goal of this regional program is to strengthen transboundary water cooperation and improve navigability and flood protection in the Sava River basin.
1st Project Training was organised in cooperation with the Consultant - a Joint Venture led by VPB d.d and was attended by 28 participants on the first day and 26 participants on the second day from the 10 beneficiary organizations, next to representatives from the International Sava River Basin Commission and the Consultant.
1st Project Training was delivered as a two-day onsite program consisting primarily of expert presentations, guided demonstrations, interactive discussions and selected demonstration-based exercises. During this training, participants received a structured introduction to the data management and standards, geodatabase and practical applications covering data ingestion, quality control, geodatabase functionalities, data analysis and decision-making support.
The 2nd Project Training within the scope of the project will be organized by the end of the year. This training will be focusing on the new components that are being developed during prerelease 0.3 which are mainly the topics related to validation of calibration results and analysis outputs, review of datasets and feedback on Web-based tool functionalities
By that time, a significant portion of the hydrological analyses is expected to have been completed.
